Logos Institute for Crisis Management and Executive Leadership Research Fellow Iris Wenting Xue was selected by the China Europe International Business School in their 2016 Pre-MBA Boot Camp.
China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), in Shanghai, was co-founded by the Chinese government and European Union (EU), and is a joint venture for management education. It is ranked 17th in the world, according to the Financial Times (2015 edition) and 1st in Asia, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
During the one-week intensive boot camp, Iris met participants from more than 20 countries and regions, including Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, The Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, U.A.E., U.S. and Uganda.
The Boot Camp included courses such as The Ten Commandments for Competing in Turbulent Times; Long-Term Economic Growth in Asia; China’s New Normal: Beyond the Headlines; and Disruptive Market Positioning.
Iris and her classmates shared their thoughts on hot topics like Brexit, Japan’s preparation for constitutional change, and the U.S. presidential election.
As one of the professors tweeted, it was a great opportunity to understand and connect with the world.
As Iris framed, it was far beyond firsthand knowledge and lifelong friendships.
